How fast are zombies?

In this edition of “Ask Bast”, Jessica asks: “How fast are zombies?”

Answer:

Without knowing exactly what form of contagion the zombie outbreak will be derived from, it’s hard to know exactly how fast the infected will be moving. They could be slow moving masses of reanimated corpses. They could be high octane, super sprinters with no knowledge of pain, fatigue or fear. This is why it’s important to utilize a variety of training styles in your preparation. I like to use a combination of high speed thrown clay target practice (known as “sporting clays” or “clay pigeons”) in addition to traditional stationary target practice. This keeps my reflexes ready for high speed accuracy as well as just good old fashioned straight shooting! This does require having more than one type of weaponry, but if you’re like me, that’s more of a perk than a downside. Until next time- Be alert. Be prepared. Be alive.

Cheers,
Bast
